"hey rob, I'd like to try an upload from you. I'v tried everything and still can't get this scanner to work. with the windows driver, it acts like it's scanning but the picture is just a black screen. I'v tried several times to download the umax driver, but the setup always fails."

"I use xp pro I was reading the other coments the reason they couldnt in stall it is becuse you have to go to device mannger driver upgrade then it will install"

"I was trying to use the new drivers because i am using winxp pro but it did not work. I then realized that if I install the old 98 drivers and then go into properties I can click on use as a dos driver and i have no problems."
