"Unclear how to install this item, but once I got it installed, using the 'scanner and camera wizard' (found in control panel) to obtain a scanned picture (using my 2100U) worked flawlessly (i've given up trying to use the supplied UMAX/Vistascan picture software). Thanks for the posted driver - as as you state UMAX now want to charge for downloading the driver!? crazy cus
