"After downloading all the various drivers on the website, this has to be the one that worked with the Vaio laptop as the drivers are almost impossible to get"

"It was not the correct driver for my card, even though it is labeled correctly and is a Sony. Generic AC Link driver from Conexant's site worked instead."

"It may be that I have an "odd" Vaio. The driver from Sony's site failed at launch, this driver went through install process, rebooted PC and had a "file suchandsuch.exe not found". Upon attempting to reinstall modem it claimed it had the wrong model. I have Vaio laptop model pcg-fx215."

"This driver worked once I removed the 'PCI Modem' with the yellow exclamation from the hardware list. On reboot (XP Professional) my FX103 detected the modem and installed the drivers. Working fine now."

"I have a new Sony VAIO laptop and could not make the modem work from the get-go. After trying this driver (that did not work w/winxp-pro) I went to the conexant site. There is a utility there that will identify the on-board modem. In my case it was a SIS AC97. The site has a utility 'listmodem_app.zip that will help you find the type.
