"I made a comment yesterday saying my scanner works with Windows XP using the downloaded driver, but it does not appear among the comments above today. It continues to operate well, but I do receive a message on starting my computer "Error Code 0x2." Any advice about what to do about this?

"This is the second time I have downloaded this driver. The first was when I needed it, but had lost the original CD with my vivitar viviscan compact scanner, when I was still using Windows 95 as an operating system. Today I needed a driver again for a new computer running on Windows XP. The driver works as well as it ever has, using the ULead Image Pals 2.0 GO! software

supplied with the scanner which I bought long ago in the Dark Ages. The download was also virus-free. I am very satisfied, and somewhat surprised since the other download of the same driver on DriverGuide.com had many pessimistic comments as to its ability to work with Windows XP."

"Thanks for the driver and I agree Vivitar support stinks! Have had this scanner for over 2 years and have never been able to useit since it came with no info and a bad disk. Asking Vivitar for help has been pointless! You cannot even find scanner info through their site any longer though I did find the manual for this scanner through a websearch. Only problem there is
