it installed a v.92 instead of v.90 version..

and durng installation i got the message it being not digitally signed...

and my WinXP reported it as a non-functional device.

"Disconnect without realizing it in seconds or a few minutes. This was a problem with the board when I went from win-98 to XP and this didn't fix it."

"After installing the driver for the modem PCI card the operation was immediately 100%. Several days operation without failure. Driver does not have XP signature but functions perfectly."

"Excellent Driver for INTEL 537 DATA FAX V.90 Modem.

The driver on the CD provided, only allowed a connection of

26.40 kbps This Driver allowed connections at 40 kbps Plus!

I am very satisfied.

"here are some Intel 537 Modem init strings that may be useful. Enter any of the following in the Extra Initialization Commands section from the Modem control panel applet. [force V.92 connection] +MS=V92 [force V.90 connection] +MS=V90 [force V.34 connection connects modem at 33.6 kbps but most stable] +MS=V34 hope these help some people out there."

"I have a modem with only a label "Intel" and 1700201021110 V1.1 on the actual card. Flip side of card is a label ENF656-USW-INPR. This driver worked !"

"you shouldn´t use this driver if you´re trying to install a non official modem whit Intel 537 chipset. I´ve got two but I couldn´t install anyone whit this driver. You can find more information in www.intel.com searching for Intel 537 modems."
