"Went through the harrowing signup process to download this driver for a legacy Yamaha sound card. I installed XP Pro and sound wouldn't work till I installed this driver. Be sure to UNINSTALL previous versions of sound driver for device card first and remove the card BEFORE installing the new driver. I had the Yamaha uninstall program I ran to remove the old driver. "This driver produces nice, rich sound. It downloaded fast. When I installed it asked for a Yamaha disk. I cancelled out of the next window and it pretty well took off on it's own. The XG Icon in Control Panel has all the tabs and they all work. I had the 98SE CD in the player when I installed. That may have caused the additional request window. But, it works very well. Al
