"Seemed to load ok, but failed to recognise scanner. Instead, new hardware wizard would eventually give blue screen of death with system halt if allowed to run."

"This driver did not work either. The Windows Wizard thinks my 3450 scanner is a 3400 and VistaScan still can't detect anything. There's a recurring theme starting here and I'm not happy."

"I was looking to install a UMAX 3450 on XP but this driver did not do the trick. It most probably works well on any other OS but not XP."

"I followed the detailed instructions provided by some of the successful users of this XP driver patch. But I get the "VsAccess has encountered a problem and needs to close." message from XP with service pack 2 installed."

"Supposed to get my Umax 3450 working with WinXP Pro, BUT..... I have not yet figured out how to keep the native XP driver from ALWAYS loading nor how to "kill" the XP driver so that the 3.75 upgraded to 3.82 will be THE driver..... sorry."

"Sorry; this is the only way I knew to get in touch with you. I have a UMAX3400 Scanner and it's not working. I get the following messages:

"The Scanner is not power on and ready"

"The Scanner is not power on before you start system"

"Scanner link failure"

Please help.

"Hi Roy I have tried everything you put on your instructions.. I still get these errors. VUD32.DLL error or if I do a test on scanner this comes up UD DLL"

"Your info was right on target. I was finally able to connect to a UMAX AstraNet e3470 scanner with a Dell 2350 PC w/XP via the USB interface only after changing to the "non-digital signed" USB driver as stated in your comments. Merely loading v3.75 and the XP update, as stated in many of the other driver comments did not do it for me. Thanks."

"The File name is misleading. It should have been called vs375_XP_update. Sorry for the oversite. Perhaps the System Administrator could make the change."
