"This Driver DOES NOT work with XP Home Edition SP 2. Please change the driver listing that states that it does work with XP. I don't get a BSOD, but it reboots my machine everytime I try to run the camera. Looks like I will be out buying a new webcam today. Thanks anyways."

"installed windows98se and lilo bootloader. now I boot into win98 whenever I need the cam. saved $50 for a new cam. good cam, by the way. one would have to pay at least 50 bucks to get the same quality. I'm using the original drivers on the CD for my USB weeCam. which I found in a dumpster, by the way."

"I am able to get the cam to work under XP with the v1.35 drivers. The problem is with Windows XP SP1 and/or DirectX v9 and up. Unfortunately the Alaris website is gone, but the last I heard from them them was a basic 'Tough S***' response."

"I have an ALARIS QuickVideo weeCam, Model FGB-V000-003400, S/N: BHB 9AA 07783; an Earthlink---Sprint promo gadjet. Earthlink live chat tech support directed me to this particular driver on 2.2.2008.

It is for a DVC1 device; setup askes for DVC2 files; I renamed all DVC1 files to DVC2, and Setup was content with that. Device Manager sees the Device, names it correctly an

"Wouldn't install on Windows XP Home SP2. Just beeped when using the Setup file.

Tried installing the device and selecting the extracted files from the .ace archive to a folder I created. Appeared to install until the last step and the install was halted with an error code 10.

Didn't work for me."

"Warning... your driver file "Alaris Quickvideo DVC1 USB.ace" causes hard reboot on XP-SP2

A full memory dump is attempted and "a serious error has occured" message is displayed on subsequent startup.

The reboot is far beyond any "blue screen" reboot I have ever seen and I would advise against anyone running XP-sp2 against using this.<
