"My system ( XP Pro ) kept locking up . Windows reported problems with the S3 display driver . As this was for a 98 SE system probably why !

After installing this XP driver the display properties box now shows the adapter info as chip type S3 Savage4 DAC Type S3 SDAC( didn't show that before, and I think it is important) memory size 16 meg adapter string S3 compata

"Why don't you use XP's driver, which is dated year 2001. this is the same file for win 2000 posted year 2000. I've restored original driver."

"If this driver deosnt work i dunno what to do.. Having big problems with my card..Games like Deltaforce (LW, TFD) have problems with C&C Renegade.. and Global Ops wasnt working either.. I hate XP already.. )"
