"The scanner worked after installing the drivers however, due to the obsolescence of the unit the scanned output was bad."

"This download provided me with one of those rare times in the computer world where things worked and worked correctly the first time. It was easy and straight forward. My Visioneer PaperPort One Touch 5300 Scanner that was discarded by a previous owner because it wouldn't work after he upgraded his operating system to Windows XP now works with XP like a champ! "It did have all the DLL's however FBDirect still didn't work stops during configuration. After disabling FBdirect the driver did work but not the able to use buttons on scanner."

"Works great for me. As a side note this supports windows 2000 pro also. Plus, I can even use the top panel buttons (couldnt do that with most recent driver under win98)."

"Hah! The Visioneer website says the 5300 doesn't work in XP, but this driver works perfectly. Just follow the steps, and now I can scan. Too bad the PaperPort 5.3 software that came with the scanner doesn't work, but I guess you can't have everything."

"this driver work ''fine'' so so ... bot the driver on the setup disk comming whit the scanner are fully compatible whit XP... it also include the '' twain'' ... so if you can .. try to find somewonw having the original cd and ask him to make an ISO and send it to you via FTP MSN MIRC or whatever ..."

"The Paperport software and physical buttons on the scanner won't function. What you do get are functional TWAIN drivers, which means you have to use a third party program that supports TWAIN acquisition such as Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks."

"Can't get this driver to work either gets error saying missing VID_04E6 PID_80000040 can't find such a driver or file anywhere. Just hundreds of others with various products that has the same problem. It appears that a PaperPort OneTouch simply will not work under Windows XP"
