Wrong bios for my board

"I have an old HP Media Center PC which was working fine with BIOS ver 3.08 and running Windows Vista. Wanted to try to upgrade the P4 to a core 2 E6600 I had laying around but it wouldn't boot so I figured I needed a more recent BIOS.

Model: m7257c

Moterboard: P5LP-LE rev 1.04 ...I believe the 945P "Emery" variant but HP states it should be the "Leon

ite". I swear it's some wierd in between board because it has athe standing CMOS battery and parallel port of the Emery but also has the onboard VGA of the Leonite... a "normal" Leonite has a flat to the board battery and no parallel port. So lucky me, and HP is just awesome about deleting anything 10+ years old from their site.

Original BIOS was version 3.08 core 6.0.

The system had Vista 32 bit. I downloaded this exe and ran it in Windows XP compatability mode as administrator. The exe ran and said it was the wrong bios for my board."
