"windows xp rejects the files from this download but a custom update will ID the card as a netgear wg511 and the files it installs will get it working. DG, please delete this download"

"I had to choose the driver manually, and it originally gave me the error that Windows could not verify that this driver would work with my hardware, (It claimed to be a Prism Network card. Later Windows XP downloaded Netgear drivers.) but it worked fine afterwards. This driver DOES work so enjoy. You don't need the Utility program if you have XP I think. I did have window

"Didn't work for me for this specific model number. Use a "netgear WG511 54Mbps wireless pc card" driver instead. Will automatically load in xp if you use the automatic (from the internet)"
