"I needed access to the external pc-card drive pcga-cd51a to install win98se to a blank hard drive. I could boot from the cd drive, but at the prompt I couldn't copy the win98 setup files over to the laptop's hard drive. This dos driver solved the problem in short order."

"it did not work for me, dont know what im doing wrong.

i created a bootable floppy in XP computer.

when i extracted the files to the bootable floppy, it gives and error NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO EXTRACT THE FILES. Pls help! been working on this for weeks now."

"I tried to run the device after downoading the driver but realised to PCMCIA slot was damaged so have still not run the device. Cannot give a rating sorry."

"IT IS NOT JUST HOURS BUT DAYS THAT I HAVE SPENT ON THIS PROBLEM. THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS JUST ON THE SONY DRIVERS PAGE AND I TRIED THEM ALL. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKS. MY VAIO IS PCG-Z505JS AND THE CDROM IS PCGA-CD51. MY FAULT, I FORMATTED MY HARD DRIVE WITH KILLDISK AND IT DROPPED THE RECOGNITION OF MY CDROM..EVEN WITH THE STARTUP DISKS..ALL OF THEM. THANK YOU SO

"it was a bit difficult to install but i make it work with some pacience.just copy drivers needed to the cdrom e add it to the boot floppy.it works fine."
