"This driver works fine for via usb2/iee1394 combo cards but Unfortunatly it did not solve my problem which was that my JVC Digital video camera was not recognized by the firewire. This seems to be a problem with all JVC cameras and Via cards. (note fire wire works fine with other firewire devices I have.)"
