"The driver download didn't work because it couldn't install the driver in my computer. In other words, it was incomplete. It ran just until the unzip step and the installation didn't happen. The setup.exe file wasn't downloaded and I couldn't see the installation screen on my computer in order to start it."

"I downloaded it. I selected open. I never did know what happened to it. I selected search for mirascan. My little doggie found one mirascan file which was a file size of 12kb. When I tried to open it, My computer didn't recognize it.

Actually it's basically the same download as the last one I downloaded

"Someone Posted this comment and it worked for me with one exception. You have to download the driver first. Then EPPSCANNERS shows up on your list, otherwise, you don't have it. This worked perfectly for me. Try it i tried this driver but it didn't work with my xp windows but i tried the driver which installed

"For this driver to work in XP you must install MiraScan then install the scanner manually. Go to scanners and cameras and click add imaging device. Under manufacturers click EPPSCANNER -> then under model click FlatbedScanner or something similar...There will only be one there. Install that -> then reboot. Y

"It is very interesting why this driver is for XP but it is not working. The scanner reacts of the Mirascan but when it reacts tells that the scanner might be turned off or the cable to the computer is not on his please. I have drivers for Win 98 but I have XP and I hate to install 98 because it is dull. PLEASE H

"Well, this is the updated Xp driver. It works, but...

If it askes for the file "EPP2k.inf", browse manually to the INF folder in your windows directory.

You must also REBOOT after the install. It wont prompt you to in Xp.

Also must turn scanner on before computer

In other words... IT WORKS!

"This was attempted on a fresh XP /w SP2 install. The package seems to load the drivers, but nothing appears . in the system. Adobe doesn't see the scanner. Each time Adobe tries to find it, the scanner wakes up, but Adobe can't see it. The hardware was working with the previous OS."

"This driver and scanner would not work under XP SP2, but installs and works great on an oldie Win98 laptop. My conclusion is that this is yet another hardware driver that SP2 or an XP patch has broken. I know for a fact it does happen."

"I have XP. The installation gets part way through, then leaves you with a blank "Imaging install" screen (something like that), with nothing else happening. I've tried several times. It is very frustrating. Time for a new scanner, but certainly not an Acer!"

"Didn't work at all. I'm running SP2. No driver I could find around here that was even vaguely related to the ScanPria 640P would do the trick. A couple of them (those under "color flatbedscanner" names) would show up on the hardware list on the PC, but that's as far as it'd go. It wouldn't really work.
