"YES! After trying a few of the HPLJ3100 drivers here to get it working on my WinXP box, this one finally has it working 100%! (It only took 3 tries and 6 reboots to find.) First, this does NOT have the error msg during install that the driver is not XP compatible -- a good sign. Second, it does NOT show a "Hardware Found" box every single time I boot up WinXP.

"How deeply disappointing to find this driver's SETUP.EXE file gives only this error message when double-clicked "The parameter is incorrect."

I was disappointed that HP wouldn't 1) post this software free online 2) make it available online even when I agreed to pay 3) charges alot to ship next day, but won't ship next day unless you call them before 11 am PS

Just bought a Dell running XP for Home. All I had to do was unzip, install, and turn on the printer. Didn't even have to restart PC.

"LIFE SAVER !! 9 months without a driver hence used my other printer. And to think for XP it costs money... AND only comes on a CD?!? HP get a clue... better yet, DON'T! And I thank greatly those who paid and were willing to share it!"
