"I am not sure if the driver worked or if I would recommend. I will reinstall to see if it works. PC had problems after I installed the driver. I was using it with an External USB 2.0 Pacific Digital DVD R/W - 16 X."

"I upgraded Presario 7478 to WinXP. Old DVD Express would not work at all and National Semiconductor and Compaq orphaned all 7478 (and others)owners. This driver enables the dvd to work although it is a bit slugish at times and the video seems to be a little too fast or a little too slow-I can't quite figure out which. It is not quite perfect but it does work"
