"Dell Dim 4400 w/WinXP SP2 & SB CT4780 Live 5.1; this driver will remove the 'pci dev' msg in Dev Mgr, but it installs a program folder as well as a program in Startup. "Sorry, it didn't work for me. I had to go to Creative web site and download the proper driver for my Dell/OEM CT4780. Sound Blaster Live is correct but where to go from there was unknown? Dell wasn't very helpful either. After reinstalling WinME, all the PCI cards came up yellow exclamations. After executing this driver(EXE)everything audio came up properly.

"Absolute rubbish. Didn't install without loads of requests for Win98 Disk and then stuff my system up. It completely renamed my soundcard so I couldn't even reload the original drivers. Use this at your own risk and make dam sure you know what your doing!"

"Card is marked as model SB0220 but was detected as SB0222. Numerous install attempts were made. You will need the Win98SE CD or a copy of it on your hard disk.

It is presently setting the record for the number of reboots required.

After all that, I appreciate that someone went to the trouble to write the driver when Creative did not support the OEM SB0220 model.

"Started the install. Ran into an error. Setup advised not to reboot and ignore prompts for it. Re-enumerated the device and then scanned for best driver. Found the driver automatically and then loaded the driver. This is one of the best installers I think I have ever used for sound. It also looks to be third party and reminds me much of the time when I HAD TO RE-WRITE THE
