"Bought an old scanner at a car-boot sale. It had a driver, but not for Windows XP. My only problems with downloading the file from "driverguide.com" was finding the "download" button to click on, (but my eyes are not so good) Clicked on run to install, then double clicked the icon to start the install. Connected the scanner and clicked on driver update

"This driver works great with Win XP but after you run the exe. file windows xp will look for the drivers after it detects your scanner. It probably won't find them so choose the "I will choose a location" option and point it towards the system 32 folder inside the windows folder. Hope this helps."

"This was for the Tiny scanner F661E. With an earlier one I had downloaded fom Tiny, when using the scanner wizard did not recognise colour. This one works fine alyhough I havn't tried it from any TWAIN applications yet"

"Actually Robin, the Visioneer web site states that it plans to make no "Certified" driver for the 4400usb scanner, However the scanner is "Compatible" with WinXP."

"This file is not the whole story. Win XP MUST have a .inf file to install ANYTHING! Somebody please upload the whole CD that came w/ a Visioneer 4400. We have lost the CD and can't reinstall after having to wipe the HD. Thanks

"driver should be 4.0 mb download was only 3.9 hence will not work. download consisted of only instruction manual. have ordered driver on cd."
