PCI PNP ID for C2 Modem
This utility will show all PCI Plug'n'Play device identifications. It is a generic utility. However it is especially published for the Notebook Modem Identification.
The reason for this is that the modems used till March 1999 will show the PnP device ID 0x11c1 0x0440 while starting from April 1999 the modems are flashed with the European firmware and will report PNP ID 0x11c1 0x0448. A new PNP ID will need a new driver! So for the the 0x0448 the European driver should be downloaded as the pre-installed software (and Recovery/Master CD) will not contain this driver before April 1999.
