TallyGenicom is a printer manufacturer that was founded in 2003, after the merger of two companies - Tally AG and Genicom LP. Tally AG was formed in 1948 in Germany and focused mainly on industrial printers, which included line matrix and inkjet. Genicom LP was a leading manufacturer of printers at the time that the two companies merged. In 2009, TallyGenicom was acquired by Printronix, which is headquartered in Irvine, California. Printronix continues to sell line matrix and industrial printers under the TallyGenicom brand. Some of the most popular TallyGenicom printers include the E6805, the 6800ZT, and the C6820, which are all line matrix printers.
