"2000 Pro on P4 Dell laptop. Worked fine after downloading other 'drivers' which had failed! Used my computer->manage->device manager->USB->msac-us1->properties->update driver then selected the relevant inf file. Thanks! Begining to drive me mad."

"didn't work for like half hour of trying, but then somehow i got it to work in win 2000 - using the add/remove hardware in control panel and choosing every driver it found until it worked. keep trying, you'll get it."

"Worked great for me. I just unziped in sony directory and when the win98 found hardware I browsed to the sony download directory and the hardware manager found the correct driver (*.inf) files. Thanks for the support! Ciao, Randy"

"Didn't work for me......went to www.sel.sony.com/SEL/service/usb2000.shtml for it to work on my 2000 pro setup (and even then I had to choose the specific driver as the default one didn't work)."

"Worked for Windows XP on an Intel p4, 2.53ghz, even using a USB Hub (to the Sony MSAC-US1 Memory Stick device). With the MSAC-US1 disconnected, I unzipped it, right clicked only the SONYSYS.INF, selected "Install," waited about 30 seconds, and then connected my MSAC-US1. About 20 seconds later, there was a new drive (the memory stick) in my "My Computer" of Windows Explor

"MSAC-US1 MSAC-US1 and Intel Pentium IV Incompatibility The MSAC-US1 is not recommended for use with Intel Pentium IV Computer Systems. The Pentium IV was introduced by Intel after the MSACUS1 was developed by Sony, therefore a compatibility issue may occur under some circumstances."

"After updating from windows 98 to 2000 my MSAC-US1 didn't work. After looking for an updated driver I found yours. When I want to install the driver (control panel, new hardware etc.) windows 2000 is insisting to use the driver it recommends and does not let me overule that by the new driver I indicate. Result no driver change and my device is still not usable. Anyone out
