"Driver works fine under W98. 'Charlie Chalk' either had incorrect adapter for this driver or didn't know what he was doing. I don't recommend using a lemon to fix PC's, but an orange is OK. My adapter bears a white label "p/n 18-1B-P120". It can be easily confirmed by checking the PCI Vendor & Device ID. This adapter is VID 10D9, DID 0531. You can find this info eithe

"It works! ) I am happy, I have been looking for drivers for this card for a few days now. There was no Manufacturer listed and not even an FCC ID. I peeled off the Novell sticker and underneath that on the chip it just said MX. Finally I searched on the Part number that was listed on the card 18-1B-P120 and I found this."

"Could not get the driver to copy to my CD. It just kept saying that there was extra information attached to it that would not transfer and there was a copy error. Never actually got to try it. May have been a problem with this CD-writer. Could not try it on another machine."

"Perfect! I have 4 of these cards, P/N 18-1B-P120, that I harvested from machines with dead hard drives. Works like a charm. Now all installed on Win98SE machines"

"Didnt work. Claimed to not have the right drivers when using auto-install. Forced driver install and on reboot it found new hardware again and so it repeats the process"

"I believe that is a CNet Card. There are multiple versions (B & C at least) and you need the specific one for your card."
