"Firmware update was a breeze. Update fixes a few bugs but upgrading the firmware to the latest version is always the first thing I do when I get a new CD or DVD drive to fix - avoids many a problem later on!""

"I was looking for CRX230ED, but there's no driver by that name. This one seemed likely, but no dice. It won't install.

So why is there no driver available for CRX230ED? And why can't they make a generic driver that works with similarly numbered products? Other manafuacturers at least mamange this much.

"The Sony site advised me that my model number was crx230e, but my device mgr listed it as crx230ed. This driver does not work for the crx230ed model......."

"Attempted to use but it did identify the cd-rom file that I needed which was actually crx-203ED. Not usable for the Sony CRX-230ED CD-RW."

"I was about to buy another burner because my PC was stalling almost every time I introduce a burned cd. I was not able to find this driver not even in SONY in spite of they had it. I really mean the evaluation.

"Didn't work with my drive. I have a black Sony CRX230E OEM CDRW drive - yet when this program executed it detected my drive as a CRX230ED drive. I have no knowledge of the CRX230ED, and am now a bit stuck... oh well!"
