"I tried a driver from cellphonemall.com that was supposed to be for my phone (LG VX8300), but it caused my system to lock up whenever I tried to launch any application that uses a modem. This driver, however, seems to work fine."

"This seems to be the exact driver found on the Verizon CD. Works perfectly with my Verizon Cable, LG phone and BITPIM. If you lost or do nto have the CD this is the driver you want."

How to Update LGE CDMA USB Modem Diagnostic Serial Port Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows Vista, click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
