"didn't work using XP. had "fail load" error whenever I start to do scanning. but was successful when i tried using win98/winME ( i have multiple boot ) for a while and my scanner suddenly stopped. my screen freezes for a long time whenever i try using my scanner again. still figuring out what's causing the problem"

"Same thing happened to me - the install kept looking for something in the D drive (CD-ROM) - kept hitting "cancel" until it finally ignored that. It seemed to be installing something, but software still won't work, and Win XP says there is no scanner."

"Worked on WinXP w/SP1 machine, didn't get the 'Drive D' prompts at all, probably because I had to copy it to a CD and take it to someone else. Ran directly from the CD. All TWAIN-compliant software working, though a tad slow. That would be the slooooow parallel port, of course.

"The driver doesn't seem to work for XP. Install looks for the D drive, apparently expecting installation to be from CDrom, but when completed aps can't load the twain source. Maybe it will work for you. Good luck!"

"This driver works as well as the CD ROM that came with my Mustek 600 III EP Plus scanner. Please note that compatibility mode is required for Windows XP and you need to know what you are doing to install same and to get it to work.

"This thing works in xp...it jus doesn't show the scanner in the control panel part. In any image editing program, go to import and there shud be an option (either 600 cp III or twain) to start scanning."

"Ok, I'm an idiot. I made the classic rookie mistake of forgetting that there is no 'native' scanner app, you have to access it thru something else (Word, Photoshop etc.) Mustek's didn't work, but this one did! Still doesn't show up in Devices, think maybe only USBs do. Just click Cancel twice past the 'Drive D' notice, reboot, and it works!"

"Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but XP will not see the Mustek no matter what. Tried Mustek's drivers (you have to download both files to avoid the 'disk2' error BTW) and the driver above. Set LPT1 to EPP, enabled IRQ7, enabled legacy PnP, still nothing. Not a peep. Dead. Scanner worked fine in 98SE."

"I'm using XP, the driver seems to be working just fine. only problem I had during setup was it asked something about the 'd ' drive. I could press 'Cancel' or 'Abort' I chose 'Cancel' and it proceeded with the installation. Thanks bunches for posting the driver!"

"had xp for a year now, tryed different downloads for divers to work with xp, and today is the first day I am able to use the Mustek scanner on my xp computer since downloading this driver today. thank you, thank you, thank you"
