"I was finally able to use my Visioneer 6100b scanner with Win XP. I could not, however, make the scanner work with the Paper Port software. I was able to work the scanner through my PaintShop Pro program by going through File ... Import ... Twain ... Acquire. The scanner worked just fine."

"I downloaded this driver but did not attempt to use it because I found that a different one worked well. I was able to install my Visioneer 6100USB scanner with Windows XP by using the files and notes contained in another download - 6100XPUp.zip - very successful thank you."

"The Visioneer scanner "Paperport 6100" was no longer supported by Visioneer for Win XP/XP Pro.

This driver installed and worked with no problems

so far. I installed the driver first, then the PaperPort soft ware."

"Put simply: Does not work at all with XP. I even tried to run it in compatiblity mode for all the other Windows versions. No luck. The original manual did, in fact, state that it was not compatible with Windows XP so it really comes as no surprize. I was hoping that there was an upgrade or patch that would allow it to function. Anybody got something?"

"This driver worked perfectly the first time I installed it and seems to be the correct driver for my operating system and scanner model. I don't know what happened, but it stopped working--it now only produces blank scans. It is not the hardware, I can get it to work with a driver for a different scanner. "I am fond of my old canon printer and this driver got it going just fine with my last clean install of OS. In case you think I'm in the last century for using such old products==You'r right. I still use carbon paper every now and then !"

"Tried it on WIn XP Pro SP2: doesn't fly. It can't seem to find the scanner. My scanner was sold under a different name, but the FCC ID is identical, so it's the same unit. The software that came with it,(Storm Technologies), installs and runs but the scans are almost always terminated before they complete."

"Istalled on an e-machine running xp home edition. Before download got message there is a know compatibilty problem. After the download the message appears but scanner worked fine. Installation was painless."

"Hi - I have the 6100 usb drivers, and the full program. The upgrade files are on Driverguide and have a 100% rating for install. The file is: 6100xpup.zip ... If you need the full program, email me and I'll send you the address. It's too large (58mb) to upload to Driverguide."

"I installed Paperport first on XP. I then installed this driver. I couldn't open the scanner through the Paperport program but went through Dell Image Expert, clicked on camera, chose scanner and it came up and works perfectly! Thank you!"

"As mentioned yesterday, I could not get good results with this driver. However, I could get the scanner to work by - uninstalling PaperPort 5.1 - installing PaperPort 5.1 I then installed the latest PaperPort version I have (6.1) and that worked also, except the forms function didn't work, but that's not a scanner issue."

"I downloaded this driver from the visioneer page, but when I try to scan, appears a black image, then try with other driver from the same page but tells that I have to enable the epp, I did it and still don´t work, what is wrong here."

"I tried to down load the driver for the Paperport 6100b and it will not install.. all i get is that there is a corruption in the file... I have the drivers but what I need is the auctual scanning software,,, Thank you"
