Linksys is an American networking hardware company based in Irvine, California. Linksys was founded in 1988 by Victor and Janie Tsao, and initially the company made a product to connect printers to PC's. Over time, they began to develop network hubs and network adapters. As Microsoft Windows grew in popularity in the 1990's, the opportunity for creating more networking products became available. After a series of acquisitions over the next several years, Linksys was ultimately acquired by Foxconn in 2018, although the Linksys brand and line of products continues to be made available. Some of the most popular Linksys products include the Velop Pro 6E WiFi router, the Atlas Pro 6 WiFi router and the Hydra Pro 6E WiFi router.
