"Like this person "I downlaoded this driver and tried to install it. I have Windows XP Pro and it came up with this error. "a copy taken from one operating system cannot be installed on another" but with XP Home. From the date I'd say this was a 98SE or maybe ME driver"

"Have used this driver before but had to do a fresh install and forgot how. How to use: Plug in pageScan USB, go to add hardware and force add hardware dialog to take software from your expanded driver disk. Can use scanner with Adobe or whatever! If used with Scansoft Paperport can at times loose connectivity and hang Paperport. Just need to close out and restart. Thi

"Although when I tried to install the program from the setup icon "The program copied from one operating system can not be restored on another operating system" dialoge came up, It worked well when when installed from auto detection of the scanner.

"Used the "Add Hardware" wizard to retrieve the driver from the extraction location and it added the PageScan devise without any problem, beyond warning it was an unsigned driver. The scanner works great now under Windows XP Pro. Haven't used this scanner in several years, so glad to see it's still accessible. Have to wonder if it will be so under Vista."

"Works on Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

I had to point the unknown device at the drivers in the Device Manager (Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager), as the Setup.exe didn't work on Windows XP for me.

"My Storm USB PageScan stayed dead after I upgraded to WindowsXP because Storm Technologies which is the mfgr of this scanner went out of business so no XP driver is available anymore. Thanks for posting this XP driver and now my scanner is working again.

"I just installed the driver by having the add hardware applet look in the directory I unzipped it to. I did not run the Storm PageScan USB.exe file to install it. Seems to work just fine!"
