"I thought this driver would be adequate for my scanner (UMAX Astra 2100U) model. I am either not installing the downloaded *.sys file correctly or am completely off base choosing an adequate driver. Could you please advise?"

"This file must be put in your Windows\System (if running 95-ME) or System32 (if running 2000-XP) directory. However, this is not a complete driver for the 2000P - there's about 24 MB missing."

"I am trying to install the UMAX 200P scanner on a win2000 system. After seeking advice from UMAX, I have downloaded VistaScan version 3.55P drivers and installed these. If you allow Windows 2000 to detect the scanner first, it will not accept the inf file that UMAX have told me to use (disk6 1220u), but you can force this. Anyway, to get to the point.... It requires this f

"The end of a long search! I am using Win ME with a Astra2100U and the install CD kept failing. Umax was no help. I updated the driver file and specified the location of this file...voila!! Installed seamlessly. Worked Instantly. Thanks Richard."
