"It may not be the fault of the driver. It could be a hardware problem -especially in IR devices there are a lot of fakes around. I just gave up."

"The driver didn't work for the dongle USB-IrDA adapter. I tried it on a Compaq nx6110 notebook and the driver did not recognize the dongle more than a little bell when inserted the USB"

"I have a Sigmatel USB-IrDA dongle. It used to work on my Vaio notebook, WXP. Now it doesn't. Nothing I've tried so far gets it to work. This driver didn't do it either."
