winxp defines "my" mobo as an P4M266-8235.

i downloaded this zipped driver. unzipped it.

I clicked update driver in device manager on the sound card (with the yellow "!" sign). for the location of the driver I pointed to the unzipped A1u620b/WDM folder. the device manager was busy for 2 minutes finding and installing all kinds off thi
