"Did not work. Screen goes black for around 1min while booting, but no change made to VGA BIOS (viewable by executing sischip.exe from the SiS website) - still 1.04.50."

"Didn't work. Screen goes black for around 1min when booting up, but no changes are made to the BIOS at all. The SiS utility for checking chipset status (sischip.exe) still reports version 1.04.50."
