"Hello,

When I follow the instructions, WinXP Pro does want to upgrade because it does not find any newer version of the driver. So, I am not able to install it. Is there a way to force Windows to install this driver ?

Any help is welcome.

"I have XP & Conexant R6793 modem. I installed the driver, and I got the blue screen of death. Every time I rebooted I got this error, wouldn't let me in. I finally had to boot into safe mode, delete the driver, no things are OK. DRIVER DID NOT WORK FOR ME!!!"

"ok this driver is about the same as another 1 that has been posted here. just under another name. it also worked on my r6793. and read me states it installs as a genaric modem. must be more than one

business that put this modem out using a similar driver."

"This and HSFp_WinXP.zip operates the modem in that it dials up and connects but when connected the speaker keeps hashing. Data flows OK with ping and for e-mail but no http data flows, i.e. no web pages come up.

"i need a driver for xp my modem is showing two different type of modem i have both xp and win 98se in win98se it is showing conexant softk56 data,fax,voice modem but in xp it is showing best data fax modem . when i try to access to modem it get restarted my whole computer even if i dial a number can u give the driver it is showing that in win98se conexant softk56 data,f

"HAY just wondering witch is best, I have a conexant R6793 mode, it has 2 phone and 2 for speeker/mic, and i need a driver for XP, on the CD that came with it i allways used PCI, Connexant, R6793. Just wondering witch driver i sould use if that was the old driver when using 98. Thanks"

"Bueno, muy bueno, por lo menos estoy consiguiendo que funcione el dichoso módem con XP. No se os ocurra ejecutar el ejecutable que viene con él, ya que tendreis que desinstalar el módem y volver a instalarlo para que os acepte los drivers. Saludetes"

"Eng Sometimes the driver won't work due to unknown problems, you should REMOVE the INF information on the Modem driver. Ro Uneori nu merge driver-ul, nu stiu de ce, trebuie sa STERGETI fisierul INF care contine informatii despre driver."
