"This worked great! In a D-1156#/A7A (not A1A, so I don't know if there is a modem with that A1A number), with HP serial number: 5188-2898."

"modem was not connecting at the proper speeds . after downloading & installing the driver the Bad rate improved and reflected the correct speed of transmissin."
