"The install went smoothly and it seemed that these were the drivers I was looking for. Wrong. Although these drivers have a more recent date tag than the second set I downloaded, Axispad_fx_Wins_98_ME_2000_Xp-173003b.zip, they are immediately called to error when attempting to calibrate or configure. Error was "Files are out of date!" I would suggest download

"I could never get it to work. Keeps giving me an error message that says it can't use the file because there is no information about the hardware. Very frustrating!"

"Thank goodness! I bought this controller cheap at a "truckload sale" with an open package - believe it or not it turns out the only problem was with the driver disk - it was visibly defective and unreadable (manufacturing defect). Anyway, XP did have a generic HW driver installed to operate it, but not the vendor-specific "GAME ELEMENTS GAMEPAD" drive
