"I think it's a good driver rather than excellent, but that's all Microsoft has to offer (from the cd that came with my PCMCIA NIC)

THREE KEY ISSUES people run into that hinder functionality:

1. Wireless Zero Configuration service is not running in your services. Right Click on My Computer | Manage | Services and Applications | Services | make sure any Wireless refer

"Last time I downloaded this it was easy. They gave me a choice of where I wanted the download to go and I chose Documents, which worked. Now, I have to download it to hard drive and have no choice. Now it doesn't work. I think they want you to buy something."

"Hi, I downloaded this driver twice expecting there to be an executable file within. There is none. Not till 6 days later, (today 12/1/07) I tried placing the Wi-Fi card in the slot and then pointing windows to the folder I had created within the program files folder for easy location. It worked. "You have to extract the driver to your computer. Install the card and direct it to the path where you extracted the files. Pretty straight forward. What I like best is that it has no other utility to connect. Just use Windows Wireless Configuration. Installed fine but I did not test it for a long time."

"Micro$oft does not support this product for whatever reason. I uploaded the driver and have had to download it so many times because I keep breaking my laptops. :) I took the original installer files from the original cd and grabbed the actual drivers so the additional useless software does not have to get installed...only the driver. Thanks for your comments."

"If you've got Win2K instead of WinXP, you'll need software to administrate the card as well as these drivers. Without the admin utility you won't be able to connect to any access points that have WEP or WPA enabled. I think the whole (overbloated, excessive) package is available from M$ directly - go get that instead of this."

"I couldn't find a MN-730 driver so I tried this. Loaded in fine but I was just laoding it for a friend, I don't know if it actually works. Recognized it as MN-730"

"Constantly get a blue screen with the mn720 driver noted in the error message. This use to work perfectly with Windows Home Edition, but with the Professional, it's terrible."

"I will come back and check again. I misplaced my install cd on a trip, Micro$oft does not have a drive for the card, and this one (judging by earlier ratings) worked, find, now howerver, the file is corrupt.
