Lexmark X83 Firmware upgrade instructions: The firmware upgrade included in this packet improves the quality and reliability of your Lexmark X83. In this upgrade, there are improvements to standalone color copy quality, added standalone paper support, and improvements to scanner motor controls. To determine which Firmware upgrade you need, turn off your X83. Now, turn your X83 on and look at the X83 display screen. You will see "X83 by Lexmark V5.XX". If you have V5.74, you will need the "Fw574B.hqx" file. If you have 5.75Z or 5.76C, you will need the "Fw581.hqx" file. Download the appropriate file to your computer.
