"This driver "hotplug.dll" - - seems (???) to be ok, but not for use (!) for english and/or german people. - - Contrarily as a comment said that there are german characters inside the dump of that file, - that hotplug.dll offered on this site is for users from finland countries (or ?? i don't know, it's NEVER german, dutch or english)!

"Doesn't work in (my) Windows 98 SE. Microsoft has an upgrade for safely unplugging devices in Windows 98, but the link to download it no longer gets to a download site for it. So I'm looking for a version of hotplug.dll that I can download and use in my system.

This isn't it. I put it into windows\system32 and tried to register it by running

regsvr32 "C:\window

s\system32\hotplug.dll" and I got a message that the dll "was loaded, but the DllRegister Server entry point was not found." with some additional not very useful comments.

To answer other comments about how to use it: I think it has to be put in \windows\system32 first, then it has to be registered with RegSvr32,

and then the correct way to access it is supposed to be

RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

but when I try that, nothing happens."

"I want to use hotplug.dll to eject USB Devices, and i found there are a function named HotPlugEjectDevice, but I dont know how to call it. Could anybody tell me the interface in it. Thanks! Osman Black when reply me, remove the '-nospam' in the email address"
