"used in conjunction with m585lmr.exe. had no sound till i did this. it conflicted with my usb but as the purpose of this machine doesn't require usb, i disabled it in bios. i've resolved similar problems in the past but i tend to do things on a need to basis as it is somewhat time consuming."

"I have a PC 200 with a motherboard made by PC chips. I'm not sure exactly what model it is because i lost all the manuals but I know it has onboard sound. Any help in locating a driver that will work on my comp would be GREATLY appreciated. It seems like i've tried everything."

"Thank you David Atkin. You're the man. PCChips is one of the hardest motherboards to find drivers for. I downloaded several sound drivers for the M585 and none of them worked. This driver worked great."

"I received a motherboard woth no CD-ROM from the mail order company to upgrade a friend's PC. No time and no drivers! Good job your upload was there as the PC Chips website is completely useless! It lists the same drivers for everything and then takes forever to download them (if you can get through to the right page). They must be using a digital watch as a server."
