"When I unzipped the program and then burned all the files to a CD, the Modem still did not recognize any of the drivers. However, I still have high regards for your site. We just need to resolve the problem. This US Robotics modem was taken out of another PC that was running XP. I have placed the modem into another PC that is running Windows 2000 Professional."

"Anyone who is having Problems installing the USR5688B modem on their XP upgrade machine should check to see if your Secondary IDE Channel is stuck in PIO mode. I found an .exe file on the Dell site that will push it to Ultra DMA. The filename is pushdma2.exe. You need to enter it into the registry for it to run everytime you boot. I do not know if it works for non-Dell mac

"Downloaded it once, copied to floppy, tried to install on another machine. Didn't work. I hooked up the machine with the modem to the internet and downloaded straight to the machine and it worked fine."
