"I flashed my Acer V66M Bios with V66M_1e2.bin and I also get CPU bios code mismatch and equipt configuration error. I would like to know who Ryan is and how I can get his help on running stepping.bat to fix this."

"I tried to install this BIOS on Acer Aspire 7121R with V66m board which couldn't installed Windows 2000 professional(even if couldn't upgrade too). I had had a message 'remove all memory drives' then couldn't install. What should do I do? Could anyone tell me that to help this for?"

"I have a V66M mobo, upon boot up I get the "CPU BIOS update code Mismatch" message followed by "Equipment Configuration Error". Then I get the option to go into the BIOS or Continue. I tried resetting the BIOS to factory defaults and same messages comes up. Instead of going into the BIOS screen I press ENTER to Continue and then the screens blanks with the cursor blinking

"Excellent Bios file. I have an Acer Aspire MT II with a V66M motherboard. Thanks to you, I can install WinXP properly with ACPI enabled. It was a bit of a trick, so I first downloaded a standalone AFLASH.exe, and backed up my existing BIOS. I then put your BIN file on my boot floppy, and upgraded my BIOS. That went well, except for the nagging CPU mismatch error. Thanks to

"unless the cpu of the PC this bios came off of is the same of as of the board you are flashing this onto, you will get an annoying cpu mismatch error"

"This board only supports a max of 450mhz PII, pc100 memory. These things are functions of the HARDWARE. bios is SOFTWARE. If you get a 'bios configuration error', enter bios and use 'load defaults', it should fix some stuff."

"I couldn't save the old Bios, and the flash disconfigured my BIOS, now at the begining it says Bios configuration error. I can still get into windows, but I cannot install any other hardware. The BIOS doesn't detect it."

"The flash program just takes off by itself and never let me save the old BIOS. After flashing the system, It still boots....after a "CPU Checksum Error" that I can't get to go away."

"Pls flash it with the correct .BIN file and use the newer flasher for that, it is tricky, be careful, directly it won't flash but force it with the flasher + .BIN file. it worked for me anyway, apply the same manner for the stepping Correct flasher! and correct .BIN! and force "Aflash filename <enter>" good luck!"

"Can't Load win2000 Bios err PLEASE HELP!! Maybe I am not loading this right?? I am trying to flash my v66m m-board with the bios drive listed. Every thing is working until the program starts, main sceen comes up and has hit any key to continue!!! I hit any key, even the up/down keys and the next sceen comes up with, main menu, bios info, file info, active reg and mess r
