Only because the following procedure has to be implemented differently if using operating system (o/s) below XP Copy iomega.vxd and / or iomega.sys to your directory Windows\system32. now you are ready to goto your Device Manager and remove (uninstall) your parallel port device (LPT1). "IOMDISK.SYS, up to version 2.0.2.5, will cause occasional

blue screens of death (BSDs)under Windows 2000 Pro with the following error message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. This message indicates a driver problem,

and using VERIFIER under windows will show that the problem drive

is IOMDISK.SYS.

Unfortunately, IOMEGAWARE installs IOMDISK.SYS and tells windows

"You can just go and download the Full Monty (8Megs) from the www.iomega.com instead of runnin' the risk of dammaging system32 and all that. It may take a bit longer but it works for all windows versions (including XP)."

"Well, I downloaded it easy enough and the icon appears on my windows XP desktop right now (which is where I put it) -- haven't attached my zip drive yet so cant say if it works. Do I have to do anything else besides shutting the computer off???"
