"it took me 3 hours work to find a simple communications controller driver. my problem was i was working on a pc that did not belong to me and it had 2 modems. 1 came up with a question mark next to it saying it was a pci modem, which was not a problem i found drivers for that and that was sorted. but the confusion then was that it seemed it should have got rid of the other

"Working with an HP with XP, and it did not recognixe this PCI Simple Controller card as noted about. Had to install a Standard Modem 56k, and then update the driver with this driver before it would accept. Never would work for me...."

"This driver worked for me. My modem showed up in Windows XP as "PCI SIMPLE communications controller". After the driver was installed, it is now listed as "Intel v92 HaM Data Fax Voice""
