"it downloaded and appeard on my desktop (where I downloaded it to) as a notepad file, opened it and it was just a bunch of writing. I have windows Xp, home edition."

"Excuse me... the words scared me here, should I download this file? And John, is this file USB compatible? I am frustrated with the standard driver provided by XP, I lose a lot of features."

"this isn't the setup file, it's only the .inf file, atleast tell us where to place this file in order for it to operate the printer."
