"Everest 4.50 tells me my modem chipset has an Intel 537EP, I have downloaded all 537EP drivers, but still no joy. :("

"installation caused xp crash, computer restart itself.

second installation try was successful and the modem works fine.

i before used the win2000 driver that came with the modem.

the modem worked outwards but didn't answer calls.

How to Update Intel V92 HaM Data Fax Voice Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
