"This driver works perfectly on my Windows XP SP3.

But here is a one trick. Go to Device Manager and Update driver for every USB port. Location of the driver is WIN98&ME directory, because there is a .INF file. It is strange, but it works when you select option "VIA PCI to USB Universal Host Controller".

"I had d/l'ed couple days ago once but can't unziped so I have to d/l again this time I can unziped it and after installed this driver she can recognize my 4 ports PCI to USB 2.0 card, but when I hot plug the USB to IDE devices in any port or use windows "Safely Remove Hardware" to remove any USB devices after the system give the "Safe to remove devices"

"i've a ECS P6VXAT with PhoenixBios v1.1 (01/14/2002). XPSP2 installed. There's no difference between this and Windows's certified built-in driver. Both of them are freezing the entire system for a moment while copying a file from U3 flash memory device. Windows detects the USB device that i connect before (and still connected) again and again.

"I could not get the driver to work under Win98SE or WinXP SP2. I don't think the driver was designed to work under WinXP without a lot of fiddling around."
