"been looking for weeks, luckyly I found this when there was no hope.

Just right click the device (if you have it disabled, i had it disabled because it caused blue screens) then update driver and do it advanced, then browse for the location of the extracted files and youre GOOD to GO"

"There is no install (using XP Home). Go to device manager and manually install. Stay away from these old HP boxes. HP doesn't like to supply all the drivers on their website. It can be very frustrating. gOOgle searches are great to find what you need. Thank you driverguide.com"

Select *install from specific Location*

Point to the folder (once you uncompress it)

point to "W2K_XP"

Click next, and let it install!"
