"It's worse than we thought - Pacific Image do not manufacture any modems - they are a software company - if you've bought one then it's a cheap Asian knockup using their brand name to make it appear legit. No driver exists - so take the thing back and punch the salesperson. The 2 files posted are not .inf so they don't work. Manually installing as Jon suggests is easy b

"This is a driver. All a modem driver is is .INF files that tell windows how to talk to the modem. no executables required. Ignore previous comments from the idiots who don't know anything."

"To install, extract to a folder on your Hard Drive. Then access your control panel, then MODEMS icon. Select the I'll search my modem from the list. Click on HAVE DISK then BROWSE, select the folder with the files in and click ok and it should install the drivers for the modem."
