ble one for xp for whatever divice. I can now run both Windows 95/98/ME for the old stuff, and then switch over (by restaring)to Windows Xp for the new stuff. Back and forth, not of coarse, simultaneously. Not the best solution for some, but better than re-buying all my software, and hardware. You will need either two hard drives (one for xp, and the other for the "old" os or you must reformat, run Fdisk from the windows start up disk, and partition your one hard drive into two. Windows xp is what makes the option for "dual Boot" possible with an old os. MAKE YOUR STAR UP DISK from windows 95,98, ME or whatever BEFORE YOU REFORMAT, or you will be royally screwed!! Also beware if you have a pc with a SCII cdrom (older pc's probably maunufactured before 1995?), the windows start up disk may not automatically load the CD rom generic driver, and you may need dos disks to install DOS onto your hard drive, then run the DOS cd rom driver, then install from cd rom. If you do not have two hard drives, and don't know how to use fdisk, don't mess around with it untill you can go to a computer store, or tech, and get help. It's an easy thing to do, but you need to know what the DOS menuse are trying to say, and they are a little confising if you are unfamilliar with dos, and the fdisk options.
